Day 1 – Kuala Namu Airport (KNO) to Bukit Lawang

Your private driver will welcome you upon arrival at Kuala Namu International Airport before beginning the scenic journey to Bukit Lawang.

The drive takes approximately 3–4 hours, passing traditional villages, rubber plantations, and beautiful countryside landscapes.

Upon arrival, check into your hotel and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of Bukit Lawang beside the Bohorok River.

Day 2 – Orangutan Jungle Trekking (Day 1)

After breakfast at approximately 9:00 AM, your licensed local trekking guide will provide a short safety briefing before entering Gunung Leuser National Park.

Today’s trek lasts around 6–7 hours, giving you the opportunity to discover one of the world’s oldest tropical rainforests.

During the hike, you may encounter:

• Wild Sumatran Orangutans
• Thomas Leaf Monkeys
• White-handed Gibbons
• Long-tailed Macaques
• Hornbills
• Exotic rainforest birds
• Giant rainforest trees and tropical plants

Enjoy a freshly prepared jungle lunch with tropical fruits before continuing toward the riverside campsite.

Relax by the river, swim, or enjoy tea and coffee while our team prepares dinner.

Spend the evening around the campsite sharing stories beneath the rainforest canopy before sleeping in comfortable jungle tents.

Day 3 – Jungle Trekking, River Tubing & Return to Bukit Lawang

Wake up to the sounds of the rainforest and enjoy breakfast at camp.

Spend the morning exploring another section of the jungle, visiting a nearby waterfall, or relaxing beside the river while observing wildlife.

After a delicious jungle lunch, return to Bukit Lawang by traditional river tubing, floating along the Bohorok River surrounded by spectacular rainforest scenery.

Check back into your hotel and enjoy a relaxing evening.

Day 4 – Bukit Lawang to Tangkahan Elephant Conservation

After breakfast, depart for Tangkahan, located approximately 2 hours from Bukit Lawang.

Along the way, enjoy panoramic countryside views and local plantations before arriving at this peaceful ecotourism destination.

After checking in and enjoying lunch, spend the afternoon exploring the area.

Activities include:

• Swimming in the crystal-clear river
• Visiting natural hot springs
• Exploring beautiful waterfalls
• Walking through the rainforest
• Butterfly watching (seasonal)

Later in the afternoon, visit the Tangkahan Elephant Conservation Center, where you’ll meet the gentle Sumatran elephants.

Join the unforgettable experience of helping the mahouts bathe the elephants in the river while learning about elephant conservation and their important role in protecting the rainforest.

Return to your hotel in the late afternoon.

Day 5 – Tangkahan to Medan or Kuala Namu Airport

After breakfast, check out from your hotel before your private transfer back to Medan city or Kuala Namu International Airport.
